Multiplayer - Gamemodes

Deathmatch (DM)

The name says it all. Kill anyone and everyone, everyone against everyone. This is a free for all with only one objective; get more frags or points than anyone else in the Multiplayer game. Each game can end in one of several ways set by the game's host; when the game reaches a maximum time limit when one player reaches a maximum value of either points or frags.

Team Deathmatch (TDM)

This is a team oriented deathmatch, where the frags are totaled up per team, not per player. It follows the basic deathmatch rules but pits teams of similar species against each other- Alien versus Marine versus Predator. You get points by killing members of other species. If you kill one of your own species, one point will be deducted from your team's (species) point total.

Hunt (HUNT)

In the Hunt Multiplayer mode, one or more players are designated as the Hunter, and everyone else is prey. Only hunters can accumulate frags. If a prey kills a hunter, the two mutate into each other and respawn to new locations; that is, the prey becomes the hunter race, and the hunter becomes the prey. The game continues until the maximum number of frags or the maximum time limit is reached. Also, the host has the option to set a Hunter to Prey Ratio in the game.

Survivor (SUR)

Survivor starts in a tag mode where its every man for himself. The first person killed becomes a mutant, everyone else becomes a survivor and game play moves to the survive mode. For each second you stay alive as a survivor, you gain 1 point. When a mutant kills a survivor the mutant gets 10 points and the survivor respawns as a mutant. But if a mutant kills another mutant, or a survivor kills another survivor, the killer loses 10 points. The round is over when all survivor players are killed and thus respawned as Mutants. The player with the highest score wins.

Overrun (OVER)

This is a team based game played for a set number of rounds. Players divide into two groups, attackers and defenders. Each round lasts for a fixed period of time, and there is no respawning. If you are killed, you are out until the next round. If at least one defender survives the timed round, the defenders get one point per team member still alive. If all the defenders are eliminated, the attackers get one point per team member still alive. The team with the most points at the end of all rounds is the winner.

Evacuation (EVAC)

Evac is another team based game played for a set number of rounds. Players split up into two groups, attack and evac. The evac team must evacuate one or more of its members before the round ends. To evacuate, a team member must reach the maps evac zone and stay there alive, for ten seconds. Attackers must prevent Evac players from evacuating before the round ends. Attackers also win by killing all of the Evac Team. Each round lasts for a fixed period of time, and there is no respawning. If you are killed, you are out until the next round.
